As a male and a viewer of the daytime talk show The View. (yes I know). But it is important to get the female perspective, I found it very fascinating today, September 13, 2011, when former vice president Dick Cheny was a guest on the show. His segment began with Cheny having a hard time finding his seat. Once he was in position, Senile host Barbara Walters wasted no time inquiring about Cheny's bulging suit vest. Cheny, who has had several heart attacks, has a mostly exterior device that aids his heart in pumping blood. Looking like a Borg attachment, Cheny had the show's audience gasping when he pulled the device's battery pack out only to have the system's alarm activate causing concerned looks from the hosts'.
Getting down to business, the ladies started firing some rubbery questions at Cheny who deflected them like superman. The apex of the segment came when Walters asked Cheny whether it was worth the effort ousting Saddam Hussein from power. About to answer, Cheny was again interrupted by the geriatric host Walters, whom Cheny had to remind of manners and to let him finish his response. At that point the camera showed a wide shot of the rest of the hosts' who looked like so many deer in so many flood lights.
He might be a man on his death bed, but Cheny showed that he still has the moxy to control the room and shut the "ladies" from the View up.
